Fractured Foot

NORTH CREEK, WA :: For those that don’t know, Lauren fractured her fifth metatarsal last week while playing Ghost in the Graveyard (basically Tag in the Dark) with her friends at the school. She couldn’t bike back home or bear any weight, so we rushed her to urgent care where they confirmed the bad news. Fortunately, the fracture didn’t slip, so she should be back to her active self in 4-6 weeks – but she misses the rest of basketball season and we were forced to cancel our trip to Costa Rica. Despite it all, she is still our smiling, sweet, and silly Lauren! We wish she could be better in an instant, but she is strong, responsible, and positive. We are proud, and also very thankful for the love and support from her many friends, family, physicians, school, and teammates.
