Athens
ATHENS, GREECE :: Athens was our next and final destination! Our penthouse Airbnb on the edge of Monastiraki and Plaka had an amazing view of the Acropolis, plus an entrance that opened into a tiny alley filled with picturesque cafe tables, friendly locals, and what very likely were the best gyros and souvlaki in the city (Suvla!). We loved wandering the incredibly walkable neighborhoods packed with markets, restaurants, ancient ruins, buskers, and tons of people through the entire day and late into the evening. Even with the crowded streets, the city was always remarkably clean, welcoming and full of life.

The plaka
My friend owns the Greek Kitchen which is a place catered to tourist who want to learn how to cook traditional Greek food. If you’re interested, I can let him know you want to go
Maggie Shelton Thanks, but I don’t have room for a gyro spit.
John Brown hahah I don’t believe a gyro spit is necessary but I totally understand how learning a new skill is a gateway drug to buying new gadgets
Nice
