PAQUERA, COSTA RICA :: My first attempt at paddle boarding was during a beautiful sunset with just my family (and our two guides)! I failed miserably at actually standing up, but Kristie and Miranda mastered the SUP in no time. Lauren and I were happy to be sitting. Underneath the boards were bright LED lights, which we turned on to paddle back to shore. Thousands of sardines swam under us, and many jumped on top of the board as well. When we got back into the calm bay, we lay back on our boards to enjoy the stars.
