- 3 years’ job-related experience

- Must handle confidential information with sensitive and tact.
- General knowledge of Departmental policy and School District policy
- Ability to maintain strong, positive and effective interpersonal and public relationships
- Must have knowledge of Mizuni and Eschool Plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Responsible for answering the telephones and assisting the callers with locating information when needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Police Lieutenant(s) and the Police Telecommunications Manager with daily clerical duties.
- Responsible for overseeing the process for Open Records and Public Records requests for reports including arrest, offense, and crash reports and release information and documents in accordance with the Public Information Act and other applicable laws and procedures.
- Processing offense and accident requests and deposit fees.
- Serve as notary for Police Department.
- Responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing payroll documents and attendance sheets.
- Maintaining the biennial Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Security Awareness Training.
- Responsible for assisting with preparing truancy court filing documents.
- Collecting department subpoenas and ensuring the assigned officers and division are notified.
- Collecting crime data at the direction of the Police Lieutenant(s) and the Police Telecommunications Manager.
- Filing and organizing police department documents/records.
- Assisting with coverage for Police Department secretaries as needed.
- Compiling/inputting student and police department employee data as needed.
- Working in collaboration with the Coordinator for Support Services on managing Sonitrol Access/Deactivation for all employees (resigned and active).
- Troubleshoot with the office supplies when needed (i.e., copier, fax machine etc...)
- Responsible for processing uniform orders.
- Responsible for working with the Coordinator for Support Services to ensure all officers have assigned keys to access to all Spring ISD facilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The position serves the School District, the Police Department and the assigned to provide clerical support to the Police Lieutenant(s) and the Police Telecommunication Manager within the Police Department and responds to a variety of requests for information concerning police records.

The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following: ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress. Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Overtime is required as necessary.
