Listed salary includes a calculation of the value of housing and other residential benefits that come with employment at Oakdale Christian Academy.

Oakdale Christian Academy is hiring a food service specialist to cook in the school cafeteria. As a boarding school, we serve three meals on weekdays and two meals each on Saturdays and Sundays.

Oakdale Christian Academy is a faith-based boarding school.

Housing is provided, including utilities, garbage disposal, lawn care, high-speed internet, phone service, and meals in the dining hall for 10 months of the year.

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Prepare and serve food in accordance with health and sanitation regulations.

2. Maintain food quality standards including appearance and nutritional requirements.

3. Prepare and bake food for special events as needed; assist at banquets or special events as required.

4. Participate in the cleaning of kitchen facilities, equipment, utensils and appliances

5. Comply with kitchen sanitation and safety procedures and regulations

6. Assist in receiving deliveries from vendors and organization/maintenance of inventory.

7. Supervise student dish crews and job training crews as assigned.

8. Maintain and supply student work crews with supplies as required.

9. Provide other food services as needed and directed.

10. Comply with schedules and timelines.

Compensation: A portion of the stated salary is provided through housing, utilities, high speed internet, meals in the dining hall for the employee and household (10½ months of the year), TIAA retirement program (employer matches up to 10%), and free tuition for staff children in grades 7-12.

11. Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
