MORO ROCK, SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, CA :: Our last stop in Sequoia National Park was Moro Rock, a granite monolith that towers over most of the park. It's like the little brother of Yosemite's Half Dome, and not nearly as difficult to climb. Still, the 350 carved steps left us a little winded at 6750 feet above sea level. Beautiful views all around, and quite the thrill at times as we twisted along the cliffs. We expected to find a guru sitting at the top, but instead found a bunch of friendly German tourists. I used it as an opportunity to practice my Deutsch!
