KALALOCH CAMPGROUND, WA :: We were lucky to secure an oceanside campsite at Kalaloch for two nights. Our site was tucked into the woods on a bluff overlooking the beach. It served as our basecamp for outings to other nearby beaches, as well fire-cooked meals, s’mores, relaxation, and many games. We tried a fun one called Neanderthal Poetry, which was greatly enhanced while playing outdoors huddled around a fire. The kids spotted a brown garter snake who also claimed the campsite as its home. And at night, we were able to see the faint blue bioluminescent dinoflagellates sparkle across the breaking waves!

Marin Brustuen +1 to that! And all you can eat s’mores!
How did you score that spot?? I thought those were reserved instantaneously when they opened up six months in advance! Also, you all know how to camp. Bravo.
