CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, OR :: My first time visiting Crater Lake National Park, and I was blown away! Sure, it’s a lake in a volcano, but I was not expecting it to be so big and so blue! The caldera is about six miles in diameter, and the deep blue hue is due to its extreme depth, unique minerals, and clarity. I’ve only ever seen this color before in the Auau Channel between Maui and Lanai. It’s truly unreal to look at in person!
