ALVORD HOT SPRINGS, FIELDS, OR :: Alvord Desert is a very large dry lake bed – about eight miles wide and 70 miles long! It’s where Jessi Combs tragically died setting the female land speed record of 522 mph in 2019. It’s also the site of a natural hot spring and camp, featuring military container housing and local ribeye steaks for grilling on the fire pit. A fun evening settled in the gorgeous Steens Mountain valley!
