ATHENS, GREECE :: The cats of Athens (Cathens?) quickly won us over too. They seemed to be everywhere – lounging under cafe tables, stretching out on ancient stone, or casually weaving through the crowds like they owned the city. Like Santorini, many are community cats cared for by locals who leave out food, water, and even little shelters.
And like in Amsterdam, we kept hearing and spotting bright green ring-necked parakeets flying between the trees. This time I finally got a video of them from our balcony!
