DENVER, CO :: Next up, a wildlife walk around Bluff Lake Nature Center in Denver! We barely got started before hearing a pack of coyotes calling nearby, followed by our first of many prairie dog encounters. From there, it felt like something new was around every corner: egrets, cormorants, a heron, turtles, a surprisingly large bullsnake, a young buck, wild turkeys, and even a couple hawks overhead. Amazing how much wildlife is tucked into this little pocket of nature on the edge of the city. It was a hot one, but worth the sweat!
