Responsible for the planning and execution of our transportation strategy across all Central Markets (Dallas, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, San Francisco, Sacramento, Portland & Seattle) and service types. Maintaining on-time delivery performance, cost goals and development of planners and coordinators in your region.

Primary Duties:

• Routing strategy. Develop and implement Transportation Strategy to best achieve Speed, Cost & Quality KPI’s
• Deployment strategy. Build and align market delivery plans
• Build, train and certify all outbound staff in respective markets
• Oversees the outbound execution and provide direction and approval of out of norm delivery executions
• Maintains relationship with driver pool and provides continuous identification and feedback of strong and weak members
• Manage and develop Transportation Planners and Coordinators in your region.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are documented, communicated and followed within your own team and across teams in your markets
• Recruit and manage Delivery Service provider partners as needed to maintain KPIs in accordance with the strategy.
• Ensure quality metrics are met by all drivers.
• Participate in new client launch meetings, new service launch and daily performance standups as necessary.
• Ensure planning and routing coverage for all markets in region when staff is unavailable (PTO / Days off)

Responsibilities:

• On time delivery. The right box, at the right front door at the right time. (e.g. monitoring routes, pick up quality, driver engagement, new driver orientation and on-going training)
• Monitoring the execution of SOPs for improved OTD and quality of delivery for the outbound
• Monitoring, feedback, training and suggestions for improved driver outbound experience
• Assists Outbound and Dispatch with monitoring of route pick up and route progression

• May occasionally move or lift up to 60 pounds at times.

Hours:

Typical hours are Monday through Friday. This position may require weekend, night, and holiday hours according to the needs of the company.

Travel:

This position requires ~30% travel time between Central region markets (Dallas, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, San Francisco, Sacramento, Portland & Seattle)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
