The Scientist II position is an integral team member role and is directly responsible for the preparation, conduct and analysis of experiments that contribute to the successful completion of drug development projects in the laboratory in a high quality and efficient manner.

We are looking for Scientist IIs for each of our three departments (large molecule/immunoassay; LCMS/small molecule, and biomarkers). For all departments, Scientist IIs will work both independently and in groups to ensure study results obtained from the analysis of subject samples are accurate and reported in accordance with regulatory Guidance.

The Scientist II will be expected to contribute intellectually to the progress of the project while acting as a mentor to peers and junior staff in a supportive manner when necessary.

In addition, Scientist IIs will:

Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centers around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.

  • Conduct and document PK/PD or immunogenicity (ADA) data analysis activities.
  • Reviews, interprets, and analyzes data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Build and great relationships with department members and clients to ensure optimal service and deliverables.
  • Provide status updates of work in progress and estimate time needed for various tasks.
  • Work with the Project Manager to prepare timelines for all procedures/tasks/goals and their completion dates.
  • Attend team meetings as appropriate.
  • Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international
  • Undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, immunology, or molecular biology, in a bioanalytical setting.

For our Immunoassay and Biomarker laboratories, we require at least two years of experience in a regulated environment using immunoassay techniques (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, Quanterix, SMCxPro, Gyros Lab, Ella, SPE, API 6500, LC-MS/MS, etc.).

For our LC-MS laboratory, we require at least two years of experience in a regulated environment using LC-MS techniques including liquid-liquid, solid phase extraction, and protein precipitation extraction methods and operation of Sciex API triple quadrupole mass spectrometers..
