EDMONDS, WASHINGTON :: The twins celebrated their first birthday surrounded by friends and family, with bright outfits, tiny cakes and all the attention two new one-year-olds could handle. They looked extra cute in their traditional Korean hanbok for their doljanchi. They also took part in the doljabi, choosing from a table of symbolic objects. The first item each child selects is traditionally believed to offer a clue about their future interests or career.
Miranda loved smashing into a cake and made the most of the mess. Lauren was a little more overwhelmed when everyone started singing and the cakes were suddenly set on fire! It was a full, happy celebration and a memorable way to mark their first year.
