Camera Eulogy
NORTH CREEK, BOTHELL, WA :: I'm sad my camera of seven years has died. Its last three shots were of a grey whale breaching off the coast of Maui. High winds and rough water drenched everything on our boat, and the camera succumbed to the salt water.
I think it lived a pretty decent life for a camera. Together we've captured countless sights and experiences that I'll be able to relive and share until the end of my days, and perhaps generations beyond. So many breathtaking vistas, candid moments, and beautiful, smiling faces of those I love the most.
I thought it was fitting (and I realize, extremely dorky) to create a final portrait of the device that created so many portraits for me.
So long, little buddy. You were my third eye. You focused my view of the world and framed many of my most cherished memories.
