JÖKULSÁRLÓN, SKAFTAFELL, ICELAND :: Jokulsarlon is a large glacial lagoon filled with icebergs calving from Vatnajokull, Europe’s second largest glacier. We were astounded by its surreal beauty, as well as the fact that my mom has been too terrified to step onto a boat for almost 60 years, but today she jumped onto a high-speed Zodiac in the middle of a nearly frozen lake!
