ICICLE GORGE, LEAVENWORTH, WA :: A scenic 4.5 mile loop along both banks of the crystal clear Icicle River took us through a surprising variety of environments, including cool cedar, fir and spruce forests, and open warm meadows with vanilla scented ponderosas. The sound of the roaring river was a constant companion, along with occasional peeks of the surrounding peaks. It was another beautiful day in the American Alps!
