Drosselgasse Rüdesheim
DROSSELGASSE RÜDESHEIM, RÜDESHEIM AM RHEIN, GERMANY :: Rüdesheim is one of the top wine producing regions in Germany, and it also includes a famous alleyway called Drosselgasse, which is filled with picturesque shops, taverns, and exposed timber-frame buildings. While roaming through the vineyards, we also saw the large statue of Germania, commemorating the founding of the German empire in 1871. Getting there was an adventure in itself, as we got to ford the Rhine via a small car ferry and then trace alongside it while enjoying views of some of the 40 castles looming over the valley, including our own, Schloss Schönburg perched above Oberwesel.

Looks stunning!
