Skagit River Eagles
SKAGIT RIVER INTERPRETIVE CENTER, ROCKPORT, WA :: Our bird nerd dragged us up to the Skagit River on Sunday to view the eagles. Some years there are hundreds of them feasting on the salmon during their winter run. But this year’s chum population was low, so we only saw eight of the majestic birds. Along the way we also stopped by a foggy field near La Conner and saw hundreds of trumpeter swans, so not a bad day of birding overall.

Awesome eagle sighting!
