GRINDAVIK, ICELAND :: Before leaving the area, we stopped by the lava field that flowed through a few weeks ago, cutting off the main road to Grindavik and the Blue Lagoon. Grindavik is pretty much completely evacuated, and they’ve created a new gravel road to the Blue Lagoon, but the volcano is expected to remain active throughout the year.
Thank you for not erupting during our visit, Iceland! We will miss you (and your delicious hotdogs)!
