Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a Senior Manager, HR Operations to join our growing team. As the leader for HR Technology and Operations, this position will have the opportunity to shape Maravi’s culture, employee experience and HR services impact, including establishing a roadmap in conjunction with our organization’s growth plans and core values. The role will participate in setting the overall HR Technology and Operations strategy, be centrally responsible for managing the Company’s HR System (ADP Workforce Now), and be instrumental in enabling efficiencies and process excellence for HR.

This position will serve as a partner and internal consultant to the Human Resources team, IT, Finance/Payroll, Legal and other Business and Functional Leadership, providing perspective, expertise, solutions, and advice on a wide variety of matters. This role is also central to any organization re-design, M&A and/or other integration/change projects as they arise.

Description of Duties:

HR Technology Responsibilities:

  • Manages HR Information System (ADP Workforce Now), including providing technical expertise on configuration and proper implementation of functionality, overseeing data entry, design and enhancement/integration projects, and being a source of user support and training
  • Ensures HR system compliance with data security and privacy requirements; oversee creation, maintenance and editing of on-going system roles and access
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all system processes, business requirements and configuration rationale
  • Collaborates with business process owners to facilitate the optimal configuration of the systems; evaluates, leads and supports new HR Systems initiatives and ensure they meet business needs; implements testing scenarios to improve implementation success
  • Supports integrations between HRIS, Payroll and external vendors, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and streamlined integration across other tools and systems
  • Designs and implements advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytics

HR Operations Responsibilities:

  • Manages day-to-day implementation of HR processes, policies and programs
  • Develops and scales HR processes covering all areas of the employee lifecycle
  • Plans, writes, and/or edits standard operating procedures and other necessary documentation
  • Establishes an HR support service center and management of “ticketing” and requests through to resolution or escalation/handoff
  • Continuously evaluates and monitors policies, procedures, and processes for efficiency and to ensure compliance with organizational controls (e.g., SOX), as well as federal and regional laws, advising management on needed actions
  • Develops and implements delivery and service agreement, metrics, and performance goals for HR Operations, proactively auditing data for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usability to ensure integrity
  • Ensures resources (internal and external) are in place to deliver services to a growing base of employees, managers, and leaders
  • Identifies vendors and outsourcing opportunities as appropriate to serve our operational needs, and manages the performance of vendors
  • Performs other functions and duties as required

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management Information Systems or Human Resources
  • 7-10 years of progressive responsibility in HR/HRIS/HCM administration
  • Specific experience in HRIS system configuration and administration, particularly with ADP Workforce Now
  • Human Resources Operations experience including project management, process documentation, data and file management oversight
  • Building of complex reporting and analytics, including dashboards and KPI metrics tracking
  • 3 years people management experience
  • Global public company experience
  • Tech savvy with demonstrated SharePoint, Microsoft Suite and related reporting tools
  • Demonstrated understanding of current HR related laws and regulations
  • Problem solver, resourceful and analytical
  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive initiatives while translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Quality driven with specific focus on accuracy of execution and continuous improvement
  • Verbal, written and interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

The anticipated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $175,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
