In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and help our clients transform their legacy mainframe systems into modern, cloud-based platforms. At Micro Focus, the Sales Consultant is a Mainframe product, services, software or solution specialist who is responsible for pursuit efforts in Federal Government. Working in partnership with Account Managers and sales specialists, you’ll be selling Micro Focus Mainframe Solutions and products to/through the Cloud Service providers of AWS, GCP, and Microsoft, plus the Alliance partners to the CSP's (and working closely with Consulting to ensure proper implementation). You may have named accounts, cover a designated geography, or may be assigned to one high-potential account.
You’re great at:
- Developing a long-term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share in specialized areas.
- Using your expertise to seek out new opportunities for value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities.
- Working with new and existing customers to set the direction for business development and solution replication.
- Developing and owning relationships with the Micro Focus client base and wider.
- Exceeding a typical quota of $2.2M.
What It Takes:
- At least 5 years of sales experience selling consulting services to enterprise customers.
- Strong knowledge of Mainframe Modernization software solutions and services, especially Micro Focus’, as well as the Mainframe landscape.
- Consultative solutions selling and business development skills to align the client's business needs with solutions.
- Initiative and leadership to drive services sales in accounts - prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Effective partnering with Professional Services account team to build an effective account plan and strategy to drive incremental revenue in account.
- Knowledge of mainframe applications, DevOps, and environments.
