Job Function: Develops and manages quality systems, ethics, and training to support the manufacturing effort. Audits effictiveness of systems, reports, and deficiencies, and is intergral team member in correcting deficiencies. Maintains the corrective action system, and is the facilities interface for all customer quality issues and concerns.

Essential Requirements:

  • Supervises the Quality Supervisors, Quality Coordinator, Quality Technician,and Quality Inspectors
  • Equipment process's and development
  • Project management
  • Injection moulding process
  • Purchasing and recieving
  • Determining if a supplier is critical or non-critical
  • Scheduling
  • Set up inspection checklists
  • Encourage development and training
  • Understand work orders
  • Review Quality data forms, Quality inspection measurement forms, Quality inspection data forms
  • Quality alerts for newly discovered defects in products
  • Practice good documentation skills
  • Clean room and White room protocol controls
  • Train personal
  • Assure compliance
  • Understanding equipment calibration
  • Customer complaints with quality product issues
  • Conduct meetings for various concerns
  • Primary contact for quality organization

Additional Requirements:

  • May be required to perform the duties of Quality Supervisor, Quality Coordinator, Quality Technician or Quality Inspector if necessary
  • Flex and restructure staffing levels to meet sales and technical demands
  • Develop goals and accountabilities for team members
  • Ensure inspector coverage for all shifts
  • Drive completion of facility action items
  • Active member of the facility management team
  • Provide leadership for the quality organization
  • Perform audits to verify compliance
  • Keep abreast of new developments in gauging and quality systems
  • Lead activities to reuduce intermittent defects
  • Review inspection plans and adjust as necessary to support non-conformances and customer complaints

Communication/Reporting

  • Weekly summary report
  • Monthly reporting pack
  • Quarterly Review Presentation
  • Keep plant informed of all quality and staffing issues as they arise
  • Attend daily shift handoff
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with the inspection team and management teams
  • Maintain bulletin board with information on customer complaints, internal non-conformance, IPPM, MRB status, audit findings, utilization, and safety incidents

Administration:

  • Review previous day outcome with inspectors, operators, and manufacturing at the morning meetings
  • Conduct SPC, review control charts and record CPK on data sheets
  • File data sheets, mold installation sheets, and transfer weight work sheets
  • Generate certificate of complaince forms for shipments
  • Manage retains
  • Manage sorting operations

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a well lighted, climate controlled indoor shop area
  • Exposure to loud noises and vibrations during work hours

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, bending, walking, stooping, and lifting during work hours
  • Must be able to stand and walk, for long periods, throughout the workday
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthectics that will enhance these senses to function adequately
  • Must be able to life and move objects with a max weight of 50lbs
  • Must be in general good health and demonstrate emotional stability
  • Must be able to function independently, have the flexibility and ability to work efficiently with others in a leadership capacity
  • Must be able to work in a drug free and alcohol free environment
  • Must maintain good personal hygiene
  • Must have hand-eye coordination and hand-finger dexterity

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education/Training (4) year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Working experience (2 or more) years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Experience with continuous improvement, SPC, DOE, and FEMA
  • Previous management/supervisory experience desired
  • Read, write, speak English language
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities
  • Adequate math skills to support the role
  • Possess computer skills
  • Adequate transportation
  • Any acceptable combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills and abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
