Production Supervisor

As a flexible packaging manufacturer, INDEVCO Plastics designs and manufactures sustainable plastic films and bags that promote a circular economy. Our end markets range from beverage, processed food, and pet food, to building and construction, industrial salt and minerals, lawn, and garden. We work closely with packaging converters and packaging machinery manufacturers.

How you will perform the role*

The Production Supervisor must be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the equipment is consistent with the plant policies and procedures which make up the Safety and Quality Systems. Ensure that all operations are producing product to customers expectation. Ensure that there is no violations of approved quality and safety standards. Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member and ensures all environmental standard requirements are met and in compliance. Stop any operation that is not producing product to customers’ expectations or is in violation of approved quality and safety standards.

Responsible for creating an environment of teamwork focused on producing quality products.

  • Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines and holds self and other accountable.
  • Maintain open communication with employees and ensure their improvement ideas and operation concerns are reviewed and addressed on time.
  • Implement policies to keep employee morale at high-level through fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Work directly with Maintenance by evaluating machinery or tools and creating maintenance work orders and following through completion.
  • Responsible for efficient use of labor on a day-to-day basis.
  • Initiates and supports improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and control waste to manage production costs and reduce environmental impacts
  • Coach and counsel team members to perform by the INDEVCO culture, values, and standards and working directly with Human Resources on all disciplinary matters.
  • Other duties as instructed by the Plant Manager

Basic machine functions.

  • Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Company Policies.
  • Axapta.
  • Strong computer skills: Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience*

7-10 years of experience in Flexible Packaging/preferable Barrier & MDO film

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Require High School diploma or G.E.D
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5, 7, 9, layer experience
