Overview

The Administrative Assistant A for the Vermont Fire Academy serves an important role in facilitating efficient office operations. The individual select will be working in a dynamic team environment in an office setting at the Vermont Fire Academy in Pittsford. This position is responsible for accurate data management, generating clear communications, and general office duties. Significant work will be performed within the annual firefighter recertification program. Weekly hours will range from 8 to 40 hours, depending on the needs of the Academy.

Environmental Factors

Duties are typically performed in an office setting with normal working conditions, some of which may be within an institutional environment. Depending upon duties assigned, some travel may be necessary, for which private transportation may be needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or higher in business technology, secretarial science or office management.

OR

High school graduation or equivalent and three (3) years of office clerical experience.
