Our operations team is seeking a Production Supervisor!! This position will be on-site at our production facility in Hudson, NY with operating hours Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.

As Production Supervisor, you will work hands-on with cross-functional team members (manufacturing supervision/staff, purchasing, R&D, sales, maintenance, etc.) to produce the highest quality edibles in New York. You will ensure all products are made to 1906's standard of excellence. You are a strong people leader recognized for leading by example and with humility and vulnerability. You will drive continuous improvement in the overall production scheduling process. This is a strategic role that will supervise, and develop New York Operations Talent for all operations from pre-production, production, and packaging, while maintaining the 1906 "no assholes" professional manufacturing culture.

The Production Supervisor will report to our Chief Manufacturing Officer.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Lead Operations in determining most efficient utilization of production staff, through workforce schedule management and production planning
  • Oversee daily operations of the chocolate and tablet production line, including personnel, equipment and materials
  • Implement and maintain production schedule to meet sales demand keep inventory levels at par
  • Implement and maintain a performance improvement/employee development program
  • Operate, clean and maintain all equipment and production areas
  • Collaborate to develop/update efficient, impactful Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Supervise equipment calibration and preventative maintenance
  • Lead weekly/daily business reviews (including agenda, action items, and production calendar)
  • Lead the daily NY Operations review, providing Daily Operations summaries to the manufacturing team, supply chain, and management.
  • Implement 5S organization and HACCP evaluations across the Operation.
  • Actively and systematically look to improve processes related to production scheduling and throughout in all facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years experience in high volume production for a food or nutraceutical organization
  • Strong supervisory background, managing a team of 10+ direct reports
  • Advanced in inventory management and reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of cGMP
  • Advanced experience working in MRP and/or IMS systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation.
  • Demonstrated understanding units of measure, particularly metric system.
  • Material processing experience, capable of following manufacturing instructions and executing dispensing of both powders and liquids to exact quantities.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for 10 hours per day. Must have consistent hand eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity. Must be able to push, pull or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Strong ability to absorb new information in a fast-paced environment and to complete tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently while working independently and with various internal departments. with the team.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal, written, technical and presentation) skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High caliber of mechanical experience, troubleshooting, and/or repairing manufacturing equipment

TOTAL REWARDS:

  • $75,000 - $85,000 base salary (dependent on experience), plus annual bonus based on performance.
