We are looking for a dedicated Mechanic Apprentice to join our team.

The responsibilities of the Mechanic Apprentice include inspecting equipment, performing basic repairs, ordering parts, and taking inventory. As the Mechanic Apprentice, you will be working under our experienced Mechanics to learn the trade and advance your career.

To be successful as a Mechanic Apprentice, you should be good with your hands and have strong attention to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch Mechanic Apprentice has a good understanding of mechanics as well as great customer service skills.

Main duties will include but are not limited to:

· Following company-created checklists to inspect and test production equipment.

· Performing standard mechanical repairs, such as changing oil and belts as needed or scheduled.

· Learning repair techniques under the supervision of the Mechanic.

· Testing equipment before and after repair procedures.

· Contacting vendors and ordering parts or service by phone or online when needed.

· Preventative maintenance procedures

Must be able to:

· Work in confined space environment
· Follow OSHA regulations and lock out/ tag out procedures
· Follow all company work and safety rules
· Troubleshoot potential manufacturing failures or quality issues
· Read & interpret Safety Data Sheets & identify hazardous materials
· Follow a flexible work schedule, including unplanned overtime
· Wear proper protective equipment at all times
· Lift 50 lbs.
· Utilize basic hand and power tools
· Promote Trelleborg values among colleagues and peers

Qualifications desired:
· Minimum 2 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
· Have knowledge of working with Personal Protective Equipment such as Tyvek, respirators, safety glasses, and ear protection
· Have knowledge of OSHA regulations and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
· Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
· Basic math skills
· Some knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical procedures
·Diploma or certificate from a trade or technical school or equivalent applicable job experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
