Job Brief

Twelve seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Productization group. In this role, you will be involved in developing, scaling up and installing new line processes and equipment, as part of a team that seeks to develop innovative new manufacturing processes and automation tools to establish Twelve as a world leader in carbon transformation. The Productization group comprises several different teams that focus on different aspects of manufacturing, including process development and automated manufacturing equipment design. We are looking for a candidate with excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines, as well as a track record of success in spotting and solving critical issues as they arise.

This is a full-time position based in Berkeley, California.

What you will do

  • Develop capacity plan to meet sales projections
  • Design new manufacturing lines
  • Specify equipment used in manufacturing operations
  • Develop manufacturing processes
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and equipment suppliers to deliver new manufacturing lines
  • Optimize performance of manufacturing at Twelve
  • Oversee all work instructions and train engineers and production staff
  • Oversee change management with engineering and production

Who you are

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
  • Minimum BS in an Engineering field
  • Experience with phases of the product development process, from prototyping to manufacturing line qualification
  • Experience in design and integration of mechanical fixtures and electromechanical testers
  • Experience implementing automated manufacturing
  • Experience with setting up new manufacturing lines and/or manufacturing plants
  • Experience in low volume, large system manufacturing and high-volume component manufacturing
  • Solidworks experience
  • TPS, lean manufacturing background

United States Wage Range: $115,200 - $171,000
Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidate's diverse sets of skill levels.
