Title: Manager, Social Media
Reports to: Director, Communications and Social Media
Overview:
The Social Media Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual that will help David Yurman craft their social media strategy and enhance the effectiveness of the channels.
The Social Media Manager will collaborate with the Digital and Brand Marketing teams and the Creative department in the development of the brand’s social narrative. He / she will manage the implementation of the strategy and manage the social media reporting dashboard to measure the effectiveness of social media programs across all David Yurman owned social platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Ecommerce, and Creative teams to develop breakthrough social media content that support seasonal campaigns, product launches, events, and other brand initiatives across all social channels (Instagram, Facebook, WeChat, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn etc)
- Maintain the monthly social media calendars based on objectives and strategies set forth by the marketing organization
- Collaborate with Creative, Copy, and Merchandising teams to ensure all cross-functional deliverables are coordinated against all key deadlines
- Oversee Social Media Coordinator who supports across all social media channels including but not limited to post scheduling, community management, and reporting.
- Provide ongoing social media reporting, insights and competitive analysis that will enable the Marketing and Creative teams to refine the social media strategy and tactics as necessary
- Manage the communication stream, deliverables and day-to-day operations with external agency partners
- Monitor and report on emerging digital trends, best practices and new social features and leverage these findings into the development and execution of new ideas and innovations for David Yurman
- Support internal requests to amplify retail, wholesale and other business operations across social media channels
- Provide recommendations on creative, cultural moments and new channel optimizations that support best practices.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of professional experience in social media management required
- Proven track record of managing effective social media programs for reputable brands, ideally brands in the luxury space and/or brands that are private or founder-led
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Extremely organized, strong verbal and written communication skills, and intimately familiar with project management
- Able to collaborate and partner cross-functionally in a non-siloed, non-hierarchical manner
- Experience managing teams, external agencies and freelancers, production calendars, and budgets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Active social media user with robust working knowledge of all notable social platforms and a curiosity for understand emerging trends in the space
- Able to work outside normal business hours for events and other changes due to the fast-paced nature of social media
- Able to self-manage and manage up responsibilities
- Excellent time management skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Location: New York, NY (Tribeca)
Working Mode: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
Estimated Salary Range: $90,000-105,000
Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
