Pearson’s Candy Company, manufacturer of quality confectionery products since 1909, is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Machine Operator on 1st shift.

Summary of Duties

• Set up machines with correct wrapper for scheduled daily production
• Change code dates and ensure that it is correct and legible
• Set up product chutes, packing tables, trays and cartons
• Clear any jams and determine reason(s)
• Turn on and check all belts, conveyors and switches
• Maintain and record accurate weights and counts
• This is a summary of duties, and does not include all responsibilities

DAYS AND HOURS AVAILABLE:

• Full time Monday-Thursday
• 2nd Shift 2:00-12:30 (except Thursdays's start time is 1:30)
• 10 hour shifts
• Some Fridays required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• MUST be able to perform repetitive upper body movements, work at a fast speed, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to work with foods including milk, soy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts
• Previous machine operator experience preferred
• Previous food production experience is a PLUS!
• Must be able to speak and understand instructions in English.
• Must have reliable transportation. - Bus routes may not run after 12:30 A.M.
