Job Title: Kitchen Staff
Location: Hooters Tillman's Corner
Shift: Days/Nights/Weekends
Reports To: General Manager/ Assistant Manager
SUMMARY
This job requires that the Hooters Kitchen employee prepare and execute Hooters menu items to Hooters specifications, ensuring food quality and guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Preparation of Hooters food items in accordance to approved specifications.
- Cooking of food items in accordance to approved specifications.
- Set up, and break down of kitchen areas. Includes but not limited to the storage areas, back dock area, dish area, prep area, and line area. This includes stocking of items, and cleaning of areas.
- Running of bus tubs to the dish area. Washing dishes. Changing trash cans, dumping trash.
- Execution of guests orders in a quality and timely manner.
- Awareness and adherence to food safety procedures.
- Receiving, rotating, and stocking of orders in accordance to proper procedure.
- In the event necessary, the Kitchen employee may be assigned or scheduled, at management discretion, a shift as a Host, Staff, or Service Bartender only if the employee meets the requirements of the position.
- The kitchen employee will not participate in any guest interaction activity including but not limited to singing, hula hooping, and guest games.
- Any other duties to include daily and weekly projects, which management deems necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training necessary unless business dictates that kitchen related experience is required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, enough so as to be able to work with other employees to get the required job done.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must attend Orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the New Employee Handbook and New Hire Packet Must attend and successfully complete the Kitchen Staff Training Program.
- Must complete the Hooters of Bayou Fox Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness Training.
- Must maintain a current Mobile County Food Handlers Certificate or Serve Safe Manager certificate
- Must successfully attend and complete all other required training.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
