Mathnasium changes lives through math. We are hiring an exceptional Lead Instructor to join our Temple and Waco center teams and assist with training across our organization! Mathnasium instructors are motivated, responsible, passionate math experts who help students build number sense, boost confidence, and gain a deep understanding of math. Job responsibilities for this position include creating a positive, engaging, and fun learning center environment, learning and implementing the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods, assisting the Temple and Waco Center Directors with administrative duties as needed, and assisting the Training Director with new instructor training for all 10 centers in our organization.

• Full-time, benefit-eligible position (30 hours/week at $20/hour with employer-subsidized medical insurance and voluntary dental/vision/supplementary coverages)

• Deepen your understanding of math through extensive training in the Mathnasium Method
• Work with the Training Director to ensure the quality of new instructors at all 10 centers in our organization

Job Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must plan to work with us for at least 1 year
• Full availability during center hours required
• Math proficiency through Calculus required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Experience tutoring or working with children in grades 1-12 preferred

Application Process

• Start by completing our short, mobile-friendly online application. You may either attach your resume or type a summary of your education and work experience.
• As part of filling out the application, you will schedule your online employment test, which covers basic math through Algebra 2 and Geometry and includes a sample training exercise. The test takes up to 3 hours to complete. No calculator is allowed.
• Based on your performance on this employment test, you will be invited to an interview with our Personnel Director and Training Director. The interview lasts up to an hour and covers your approach to teaching math concepts, working with students, and leadership and communication skills.
• We aim to communicate our hiring decision within a week of your interview.
