Red’s is an exciting $5,000,000 auto towing and recovery specialist located in Bidwell, Ohio. Bidwell is located between Columbus, Ohio and Charleston, West Virginia on I-35. I-35 is a major truck route providing a constant flow of business. We operate light, medium and heavy-duty tow trucks to accommodate vehicles and equipment of all sizes for motorcycle towing, up to heavy truck towing. We staff Wreckmaster Certified tow truck operators and provide ongoing training programs to maintain up-to-date information on vehicle changes and recovery strategies as well as safety guidelines and procedures.

The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of a tow truck company, an auto repair company and a truck repair company. This position requires a self-motivated and results-driven individual who has a passion for providing top-notch services to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including, driver schedules, maintenance, mechanic scheduling and customer service.

Manage a team of drivers and ensure they adhere to company policies and procedures.

Manage Parts department to maintain the proper supply of parts and attain the appropriate profitability.

Maintain and manage a fleet of vehicles, ensuring proper maintenance, safety checks, and cleanliness.

Develop and maintain relationships with customers, insurance companies, and other industry partners.

Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase customer base and brand awareness for all activities.

Foster a positive work environment, encourage team building, and address any personnel issues in a timely manner.

Stay up to date on industry developments and regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure the company remains compliant.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a vehicle repair business in a management role.

Proven ability to manage and lead a team of mechanics and drivers.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, sales and customer service skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Knowledge of towing equipment, procedures, and regulations.

6. Ability to make budgets and financial reports.

8. Successfully pass drug test in compliance with company Policy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Education and Experience:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred College Degree.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to sit in vehicle seat for extended periods, perform a significant amount of driving, bending, lifting, twisting, climb or balance, and listen to and respond to radio and phone communications.

Compensation: $120,000 plus bonus dependent on the experience of the applicant.

Pay: $36,242.51 - $120,000.00 per year
