We are seeking a Full Time – Food Service Cook to join our Food Service team.
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 6:00am-1:30pm
Education/Experience Required High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), Two years of quantity cooking experience or experience in a high volume operation preferred or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required. Serv Safe Certification required. Must have high sanitation standards and practices, and a passion for quality food. Previous Hospital or Nursing home food experience is highly preferred!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Cook prepares foods according to the menu cycle, standardized recipes and directions provided by the Food Service Director.
Presents food in a fresh and appealing manner according to the Food Presentation Policy.
Documents refrigeration and food temperatures and completes necessary paperwork documentation.
Cook maintains kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.
Follows posted Sanitation Schedule and ensures a clean and organized work area at all times.
Reports any equipment needs or issues to management
Insure that all quality, quantity and timing objectives are met.
High level of professionalism and friendly personality.
Must be able to work independently and professionally with others and be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. MUST have reliable transportation.
Salary: $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr based on education and experience. $500.00 SIGN ON BONUS
