• Empire Workforce is seeking to hire Prep Department assistant with warehouse experience for a company in the city of Torrance, CA

Schedule: Mon-Fri (7am-3:30pm)

Pay: $18

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• When setting up an order review the Worksheet / Traveler, inspection report, dimensional requirements, packaging, and handling requirements.
• Before starting the order pull the ‘green’ inventory tag from the material. Ensure material part number matches worksheet / traveler and the material shelf-life meets the order requirement.
• Record all necessary information to worksheet / traveler (i.e., material lot number, date of material, expiration date, etc.,).
• Contact supervisor immediately if material does not meet shelf-life requirements.
• Lay-up materials on worktables, assist with applying appropriate chemicals to promote the converting process.
• Setup and adjust the slitting and laminating equipment to ensure that product meets all quality requirements and specifications are met
• Assist with hand / machine laminating/ converting and other various tasks as called out on the worksheet.
• Perform all in-process inspections as specified on the worksheets and / or inspection report.
• Notify supervision of any quality or process issues
• On all new jobs, verify the time requirements for the respective process (standard vs. actual). Notify supervision immediately if requirements cannot be met.
• After tasks are complete, prepare and stage product on carts / tables, etc. for transfer to next operation.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of warehouse experience
• 2+years of manufacturing experience
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Good communication skills
• MUST be authorized to work in the US
• MUST pass Background & Drug Test
