What you will be doing
This is a non-exempt position that will report to the health and wellness director (HWD) co-disability coordinator. Prepares patients for dental examination and treatment, in compliance with government and management directives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and one year experience supervised by a West Virginia licensed dentist.
- Computer proficiency also required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- X-Ray Certification
- Assist dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling required instruments, equipment and dental plastics.
- Sterilize instruments and keep office stocked with required supplies.
- Arrange and maintain appointment schedule.
- Keep records of patients.
- Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions as prescribed by the dentist.
- Assist in taking patient X‑rays.
- Perform limited clerical duties, utilizing knowledge of medical terminology, clinic or laboratory procedures; type correspondence, reports, etc. and operate office equipment.
- Interview incoming patients and record information required.
