Occupational Summary:
This position supports the process of gathering data, analyzing results, and publishing accurate demand plans that point the rest of the business in the correct execution direction. The demand plan also serves as the data of record for measuring the financial pulse of the business. Additionally, this position will play a key support role in the company's MBR (Monthly Business Review) process (3-5 year horizon) - facilitating the alignment of a single end-to-end company plan based on the published demand. The Demand Manager provides both strategic and tactical support in the critical role of predicting and communicating future volume trends and works extensively with cross-functional partners to improve overall analytical capability for Safran Seats USA. The position will work to ensure the contractual accuracy and administration of all sales administration from order to remittance.
  • Lead SSUSA's proposal and costing efforts to accomplish program objectives through the coordinated efforts of multiple teams within the unit. Administer and oversee developing, implementing, and applying all procedures and techniques used to prepare sales proposals.
  • Lead the S1& S2 gates

Authorities:
The position works under minimal supervision and is authorized to make model adjustments and proposed changes for the department, with limited oversight.

Main Function Responsibilities

Position responsibilities related to the Demand Manager:
  • Work with Executive Team, Management, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, and Sales Teams in Demand Management operations, specifically MBR Processes
  • Identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
  • Establish and validate sales requirements (orders, projections) for new programs
  • Develop demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns
  • Analyze and troubleshoot demand related issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management
  • Maintain demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Update forecasts for new products, aftermarket services, and production operations.
  • Lead the Demand reviews, including variation in demand at month M–1, nominal/scenario and participate in Management Business Reviews.
  • Manage the Sales Administration team to validation of all sales purchase orders including, Contractual compliance, Oversee system data loading, and Order acknowledgement following cross functional review.
  • Manage the single point of truth for all product pricing – act as the system gatekeeper for data accuracy.
  • Manage the Sales Administration team for all original equipment invoicing.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, evaluate employee performance, and initiate promotions, transfers, and corrective action for the team.

Position responsibilities related to the Proposal Manager:
  • Create cost estimates for specific RFQs (Request for Quote).
  • Develop improvements in resources used in the estimating process.
  • Develop/improve estimating software, practices, and tools.
  • Establishes and manages adherence to guidelines and delegation of proposal approval authority. Defines and manages approval process through regular review of approval metrics.
  • Maintains workload status reports of all RFQ's received by Estimating.
  • Train and supervise proposal personnel.
  • Review and approve estimates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Education & Qualification
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field

Work Experience:
Technical knowledge. 5 years experience minimum of previous experience in forecasting or order management and sales support. General understanding of planning tools and ERP Systems. Understanding of manufacturing operations and processes. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Professional Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication presentation and training skills. Strong math, analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Ability to present complex financial concepts and strategies in an understandable and compelling manner. Flexible to customer changes, urgencies, and make good decisions under pressure, also able to work reasonable over time when required.

Behavioral Skills:
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly. Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies. Must be innovative, organized, energetic, self-motivate and able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment while possessing superior interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:
This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job

Work environment:
The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise
