Position Summary:
The Custodial Assistant’s primary responsibility is to perform maintenance and custodial duties as requested by the Facilities Maintenance Manager, as well as ensure that the building is free of garbage and cardboard. In addition, the Custodial Assistant performs housekeeping duties to ensure the building is clean and tidy.
No possibility for remote work within this role.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:* (Additional duties may be assigned)
30% Perform general trash and cardboard collection.
20% Other routine duties as required.
15% Clean floors with the floor machine, as well as light equipment and material handling.
10% Maintain order and cleanliness of the Aurora location.
10% Empty Slip cast waste cans.
10% Dust collection system in Woodshop and empty Woodshop waste, as well as dust pipes.
5% Replenish water as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:*
This position does not have any supervisory duties.
Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma required

Special Requirements:*

• Valid Driver’s License for use of company vehicles and occasional travel between work locations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Hand tools, Forklift, Pallet jack and Floor Cleaner, Company Vehicles.
Safety: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Gloves, Respirator and Mask

Physical and Mental Requirements:*

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.
• High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.
• Exerts in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Environmental Conditions:*
The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including temperature changes, noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, dust, garbage and moving mechanical parts.
