Reporting directly to high level management and ownership, our Accounting Assistant will be a key player in our office, and will use Sage 100 on a daily basis to perform the following functions:
- Bookkeeping
- AP/AR
- Monitor AR and make collection calls when necessary
- Data entry
- AIA forms
- Preparing Subcontractor contracts
- Preparing, distributing, and tracking subcontractor agreements, vendor purchase orders, change orders, submittals, RFIs and owner change orders
- Reviewing and tracking insurance certificates and requesting updated certificates as needed
- Reviewing and tracking project Lien, Payment & Performance Bonds
- Running reports and following up with subcontractors/vendors on missing documentation to avoid delay in payments
- Assist with all internal and external audit requests and compliance requirements
Do You Have What it Takes?
- Experience with Sage 100 required
- Office administrative experience
- Construction industry office experience (preferred)
- General knowledge basic accounting principles
- Must be accountable to research problems and resolve to completion, escalate issues promptly, learn and apply knowledge quickly, and meet deadline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Organized and detail oriented
- Must value hard work, honesty, respect and reputation!!
