Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Works as a liaison between the Northwest Health System's Behavioral Health Services team and its community and external (referral source) partners. The Community Outreach Coordinator implements the philosophy and strategic goals set forth by the Executive Director of Behavioral Health and the Chief Executive Officer while maximizing referrals from assigned accounts. Assist the Executive Director in driving brand awareness and increasing market share. This position acts as a liaison between the hospital(s) and the professionals in the communities served by the hospital(s). Areas of responsibility include generating referral contacts, assisting in the design and creation of marketing materials, and representing the hospital(s) to local healthcare agencies and the community at large. With a high level of commitment to exemplary service, this individual also develops new business to achieve the goals of the business development department. The Community Liaison position is a combination of account management, referral source development and maintenance, customer service, marketing, event planning and execution, and social media management. The assigned territory of this individual’s responsibility is subject to change, but the business development department serves the entirety of the Northwest Health System's market and service area. To meet the requirements of this position there can be 50% or more travel throughout North West Arkansas region, generally within a 3-4 hour radius of the hospitals served.
