Sips at Solstice
ISSAQUAH, WA :: Education Access Network hosted a wine-tasting event this evening to raise funds and increase awareness for the non-profit organization. EAN provides low-cost, high quality courses to prepare students for success in higher education. Since being founded nearly five years ago, Education Access Network has improved academic opportunities for hundreds of low-income students from more than 20 schools.
Since 2001, Kristie has helped to shape and grow EAN, together with the organization’s dedicated founder, Linda Coleman, and the dozens of other hard-working volunteers. I do what I can by designing and updating the website and other collateral materials.
Tonight was a chance to celebrate EAN’s success by enjoying great food (provided by Brown’s Catering) and a tasting tour of wines from around the world. The event was also an opportunity for me to finally perfect the pronunciation of sommelier. Our sommelier, David LeClaire, was a remarkably entertaining and informative host for the evening. It was a great time! Please check out EAN and let us know if you would like to be invited to next year’s Sips at Solstice event!
