Wheelchair Patient Transporter
We have immediate full-time openings for experienced wheelchair van drivers. Transportation Solution Services (AXEL), an established and growing non-emergency transportation company is looking for caring individuals. Our wheelchair van drivers (Para-Lift Drivers) are a critical part of our company, so it is vital that the people on our team are a good fit with our commitments and share our core values.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to demonstrate previous experience
• Must be 25 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid Missouri Class E
• No driver license suspension or revocation for moving traffic violations within the previous three years
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally
• Must successfully pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and criminal background check
• Must pass a company-mandated assessment that demonstrates you can physically handle the job duties of a Para-Lift Driver

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Arrive on time to all scheduled stops
• Communicate with Dispatch regularly throughout the day
• Assure each passenger is properly secured with lap and shoulder belts
• If applicable, each wheelchair is properly secured using 4-point tie-downs and is in a locked, stable position
• Monitor passenger activity periodically while taking care not to become distracted

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Rotating weekends
