Description

DiGioia Gray is seeking an Engineering Operations Manager in our Phoenix, AZ office to lead our power delivery efforts in the Western market. The ideal candidate will have experience in a) Production & operations; b) People development & management; c) contributions to service lines profit & loss; d) Customer relations & retention; e) Marketing support; and f) Strategic planning and growth.

Duties

• Ensures project deliverables satisfy the quality expectations of the client.
• Serve as Project Manager on select projects
• Serve as subject matter expert providing technical expertise and guidance
• Supervise, mentor, and train direct reports (and indirect reports as needed or requested).
• Works with the Engineering Directors for resource forecasting
• Assists with the creation and execution of an annual sales program target, along with marketing and business development plans for the service lines.
• Develop and maintain business with assigned clients, helping to achieve sales targets
• Serve as a Client Manager, understanding client values, organizational structure, decision-making process, standards of practice, expectations, capital expenditure projections, and business opportunities.
• Develop proposals and support negotiation of contracts
• With management team, participate in the strategic planning process and assist with the development of a business plan for growing DiGioia Gray.

Education

Required: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering discipline

Preferred: Master of Science degree in Engineering discipline

Experience

Required:

• 10 years of engineering experience
• 5 years of project management experience.
• 5 years of people management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Preferred:

• Experience in the power delivery industry
• Experience running a department and/or division with profit and loss responsibility
• Experience managing growth in small or medium sized firm
• Proven track record of accomplishments in engineering services business development planning and marketing.
