Job description

Our client, an oil and gas service company that specializes in the rental of water transfer pumps and filtration equipment, is seeking a Welder for their Bossier City location. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with overtime potential.

Responsibilities:

• Weld precision or close tolerance parts and assemblies for manifolds, rug crossings, frames, and fittings.
• Rework and repair parts and assemblies.
• Maintain welds on various items using a variety of welding processes.
• Repair metal surfaces (doors, drain covers, fences, motorized gates, grates, railing, furniture, tools, parts, etc).
• Install various welded items as needed.
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools and vehicles to ensure the availability and proper functioning of required items.
• Request welding equipment and supplies as needed to maintain inventory.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and calculate dimensions as required to fabricate all welding position layouts.
• Perform inspections and prepare written inspection reports.
• Maintain effective, timely and respectful communication and interaction with other employees, manager, and support other organizations.
• Responsible for facility custodianship of work area and management of tools, equipment and spare parts for the welding/fabrication operation.
• Understand and follow WPS.
• Properly operate equipment used in welding and metal fabrication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
