Virtualitics is a fast-growing SaaS AI scale-up providing software to help uncover key insights in data, an approach we call Intelligent Exploration. Our products help customers through a combination of machine learning, immersive data visualization, and collaborative shared virtual environments. Our patented technology is based on over a decade of research at Caltech (California Institute of Technology) and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

The platform has been deployed across Department of Defense agencies, Federal Civilian agencies and Fortune 500 companies. We recently won a multi-year Strategic Award from the Air Force where they named us as one of their “big bets" on emerging technology.

Our fast-growing team is looking for a skilled, motivated and reliable VP of Federal to lead our Federal business. This role comes with a highly competitive base salary, significant cash bonus opportunity, large equity package (stock options) and generous health/vision/dental insurance.

What you'll do

  • Report to the Chief Revenue Officer to lead our our entire Federal sales efforts
  • Manage the Federal sales, proposal and capture teams
  • Recruit, hire, train and retain great people who are excited to work for you and be part of our team
  • Be directly involved in large, complex deal with the Department of Defense
  • Develop a partnership program and build an ecosystem which increases sales opportunities
  • Identify key accounts within our existing customers and grow/expand those contracts
  • Work with executive team to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy across the entire sales cycle



Your qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience managing a software sales team selling into the Department of Defense
  • Knowledge of the federal sector, including the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and other federal civilian agencies and familiarity with the solicitation and proposal/capture process
  • Knowledge of the SBIR process
  • Experience thinking outside the box and chasing opportunities, preferably in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
  • Strong business development leadership skills and a track record in building and scaling strategies that deliver results
  • Ability to establish clear value propositions via excellent communication skills in these forms: customer conversations, company and product presentations, written communications such as email and proposals
  • Experience working with, and managing Advisory Board members and partners
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
