Responsibilities & Qualifications
In this role:
The UX Designer selects and arranges moderately complex visual to convey a message to an audience that is consistent and generates an intuitive user experience (UX) that is supported through UX research methods.
In doing so, you will:

  • Use creative skills to recommend and implement ways to improve the visual appeal and simplicity of the company’s secured website
  • Evaluate complex responsive web applications against sequence, flow, form, and lay-out standards
  • Identify flaws within the customer experience and recommend solutions
  • Apply knowledge of the UX lifecycle, including complex research, design ideation, interactive prototyping, user validation, and delivery, to design and pilot interactive responsive web mobile applications
  • Work with software engineers to help build complex solutions using Agile software development methodologies
  • Educate technical and non-technical staff about complex best practices in customer centricity as it applies to UX

Common Deliverables Include:

  • Design systems including pattern libraries
  • User personas
  • Prototypes
  • High and low fidelity wireframes with design specifications
  • Mood boards
  • Style tiles
  • Style guides
  • Iconography
  • Typography
  • Grid systems and design rules
  • Contribute to research and content insights and product usability recommendations

Required Qualifications:

  • At least two years of professional experience in UX, customer-centric, interaction design within a complex software development environment or equivalent education, training, or experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience

Texas Mutual’s flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by either working remotely or collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
