Burke Animal Clinic is seeking an Experienced Part-Time Veterinary Assistant.

We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about helping animals and their owners. Two years previous experience working in the veterinary field is required.
BAC typically sees canine and feline patients, but also sees pocket pets occasionally. Our clinic practices cutting edge medicine, such as stem cell therapy, acupuncture, veterinary orthopedic manipulation, and cold laser therapy.
Responsibilities for Experienced Veterinary Assistant include:
- Drawing blood
- Processing in-house blood work
- Training less-experienced assistants
- Animal restraint
- Assisting doctors in exam rooms
- Assisting LVT prepare animals for surgery
- Assisting with x-rays
- Preparing vaccines
- Entering charges
- Filling medication
- General cleaning duties
- Nail-trims
- Other duties as assigned

Experienced Veterinary Assistant must have:
- Great communication skills- both oral and written
- Be proficient in reading, writing, math, phone, and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets).
Knowledge of Avimark is a plus.
- Must be able to lift pets up to 50 pounds.
- Candidate must have reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule, hours may include days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour

Masks are optional, to ensure safety we are allowing 2 fully vaccinated individuals in per doctor appointment.

Experience:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
