JOB DESCRIPTION:
Shin Imaging Los Angeles is hiring a Part-time ultrasound technician
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform pelvic, abdomen, renal, vascular, arterial, carotid ,small body parts ultrasounds and breast.

The administration of the Sonographer includes performing procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist and demonstrating compassion to ensure overall patient satisfaction.

The Technologist will be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years of experience

CPR certification

Job Type: Part-Time

Evening shifts 3days - 5days weekdays 5:00pm - 8:30pm

Or

Weekend Sat / Sun 9:00am - 5:30pm

Experience:

Ultrasound:2 years (Preferred)
License:

ARDMS (Preferred)

Job responsibilities:

1. Performs routine ultrasound procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist. Patients are positioned and scanned correctly assuring that the physician prescription and scan are the same.

2. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history in full sentences, performing providers, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure.

3. Completes the patient worksheets in details for the radiologists to dictate ultrasound studies for patients.

4. Obtains complete and detailed history to assist the radiologist with diagnosis from each patient. Performs exams in an accurate and timely manner.

5. Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Explains the exam to each patient to ensure patient safety and cooperation.

6. Maintains exam rooms by stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies. Maintains equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider.

7. Promotes teamwork by assisting other staff as needed. Performs other duties as required.
