Overview:

Drives a truck to transport cargo to and from destinations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow all internal and external safety guidelines

• Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.

• Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.

• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo.

• Maintains logs recording cargo weight, arrival and departure times, and miles traveled.

• Performs work under minimal supervision.

• Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

• Flexibility to work in the shipping / receiving department as needed.

• Work in the packaging area and, assist in the general warehouse housekeeping.

• Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

• May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to more junior personnel.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 1-30# frequently (up to 50% in an 8-hour day)

• Lift 30-60# regularly (up to 30% in an 8-hour day)

• Lift 60+# occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)

• Push/Pull 100# with assistance seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)

• Kneel occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)

• Squat occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)

• Stoop frequently (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)

• Work with extended arms seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)

• Sitting for extended periods

Education & Experience:

• A High School Diploma or GED certificate

• 2 years’ experience

• Require a CDL “A” license and valid Medical Card.
