Tender Truck Driver/Yard Attendant Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The tender truck driver/yard attendant must possess a current Class A CDL or the ability to
obtain one. They are responsible for delivering fertilizer and chemicals, providing maintenance
to equipment, and assisting customers with loading and unloading products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes the following and other duties may
be assigned)
- Transport fertilizer and chemical from facility to custom applicators in crop fields.
- Deliver fertilizer and chemicals to customers.
- Move products between locations.
- Mix and blend chemicals and fertilizer for application.
- Load and unload liquid fertilizer and chemicals.
- Have the mechanical ability to do minor repairs and perform scheduled maintenance on
equipment.
- Maintain current CDL and any endorsements.
- Keep records of facility and equipment maintenance.
- Keep yard and facility clean and in proper working condition.
- Assist customers with fertilizer and chemical purchases.
- Work with minimal supervision to complete projects.
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures, and
reporting requirements.
- The ability to lift or move 50 pounds and occasionally more is required.
